Series: The Keleyat on Mars

These are Science Fiction stories set in the far-flung future after the revolution which overthrew the corporate-run FN government. Although there are several different characters that appear in this series, the main protagonist -- ex-corporate Avery Lazarovich Granitski -- is a future descendant of Hezekiah Sauer. Martian Security agent Avery Lazarovich Granitski is called on to figure out who murdered one of the alien delegates at a peace conference on Mars. Finding out who is one thing; trying to stop them, however, is another thing altogether.

Agent Granitski is overseeing a Martian Police investigation into a murder ... one that looks open and shut. But is the accused painter really guilty, or is this part of a larger plan to frame the man for the killing?

The alien Keleyat have announced, of all things, a contest to determine who grows the best wheat in the Sol System. It makes no sense, and it is up to Agent Granitski to find out what is really going on behind such a crazy scheme.

Agent Granitski is assigned duty overseeing the Chamber of Deputies who are meeting with the aliens. But when human delegates start vomiting and dying in the chamber, Granitski and one of the last telepaths on Mars must find an answer, and fast, before anyone else is killed.

A member of the Martian Police Force considered "politically unreliable" after the Glorious Revolution is exiled to a job in the Asteroid Belt. On his first day on station, five miners are killed. It falls to him to find out if it was a freak accident ... or a deliberate mass murder.

A corporate assassin is on his way to kill the leader of the Revolution on Mars. To do so, he has to get past not only Security, but also one of the last telepaths on Mars. Will he bluff his way past her ... or will she see through his disguise even without her psionic power to read minds?

When one of the Keleyat's secred idols is stolen, it falls to Granitski to figure out how the theft was committed, and race to find the thief and get the idol back before it becomes an interstellar incident

Someone attempted to kill the assistant to one of the alien Keleyat at a ceremony in orbit. What looks like a simple murder attempt turns into a conspiracy by a secret cabal of humans out to stop peace with the alien Keleyat. Can Granitski solve it in time to prevent a war?
